Aldgate
Characterised by impressive high rise buildings, such as the iconic 30 St Mary Axe (better known as the Gherkin), Aldgate is popular with young professionals working in the City and Docklands.
Shopping lovers will enjoy being in such close proximity to well-known London markets such as Spitalfields, Leadenhall and Petticoat Lane. And no description of Aldgate would be complete without noting its proximity to Brick Lane – home of Bangladeshi curry houses, trendy bars, boutique galleries, and both cutting edge and vintage fashion.
Transportation
While many city workers can skip public transport and walk to work from Aldgate, for those travelling a little further away Aldgate is a commuter’s paradise with plenty of options to choose from.
